Intro

Ok, so I haven’t done one of these in ages- I did a few while I was on placement to let friends and family know what I was up to, but that seems like years ago now. Christmas and New Year have just gone by at rocket speed; I can’t believe how quickly everything is going... Soon it’ll be summer and I’ll be pretending to find a job while enjoying the Summer “Sun” :-D

2008 was pretty good: 8 months in Australia, drank lots and lots of free beer from a brewery (my favourite client... and an awesome place to spend a Friday arvo), went to a few champagne networking events (yep, free champagne, beer, wine and that fashionable neuveu cuisine rubbish)... oh yeh and did some businessy stuff like selling ads, creating marketing campaigns, admin related bits and pieces and all that jazz, so yeah pretty good.

I’m hoping 2009 will be just as good, it’s started pretty well... i.e. not sunburnt on a beach on a 40 degree new years eve night (slightly over-rated when you are used to minus a million degrees and any bits of body showing turning to icicles). I managed to get caught up on a closed motorway yesterday for 3 hours because some bloomin’ gas powered 4x4 decided to blow up a few miles in front of me... that’s the only really bad thing that has happened so far and what’s 3 hours in the grand scheme of things?!
